100,000 doses of Sputnik-V will arrive in Venezuela

Venezuela will receive 100,000 Sputnik-V vaccines next week, as announced this Tuesday afternoon by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros.

From the presidential address to inaugurate the 100 Socialist Mission Bases, the head of state reported that “next week thousands of Sputnik-V vaccines are arriving in Venezuela, they are announcing us on the first arrival of the 100,000 Sputnik-V vaccines.”

He also stressed that the first line to be vaccinated will be the medical and health personnel, followed by teachers, the nation’s vulnerable sectors and the Somos Venezuela (We Are Venezuela) Movement; so that they can once again visit the population affected by the economic war.

During the journey of Balance of the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of Covid-19, last Sunday, the national president assured that “In Venezuela only the Sputnik-V vaccine from Russia is scientifically approved and verified, already in the world is everyone beginning to accept that Sputnik-V is the best and safest vaccine there is”.

In turn, he recalled that in August 2020, Russian President Vladimir Putin registered the world’s first vaccine against the coronavirus, Sputnik-V, and since then his government had contacts with Russian scientists and knew about the progress of clinical trials.

The Dignitary stated that the Sputnik-V vaccine is safe and guarantees a high level of protection of the body of 92%.
