Venezuela will have a new CNE this year

“Between the months of March and April, Venezuela will have a new directive of the National Electoral Council (CNE) that will be appointed by the Legislative Parliament, for 7 continuous years as required by law and the Constitution”.

Thus was informed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, who also urged the revolutionary forces to prepare the fight to win the elections of regional governors that must be held constitutionally at the end of 2021:

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, informs me that CNE will be in charge of calling for the elections of governors this 2021. So, on the one hand, we are working, strengthening the People’s Power, recovering the economy and, on the other hand, preparing the UBCHs, the men and women heads of street to win by knockout the 23 governorships of the country”, summarized the Head of State.

Likewise, the President highlighted, during the commemoration of the 63rd anniversary, that the democratic opposition has proposed in the NA an idea of “mega-elections” for December, to bring forward the mayoral elections of 2022, and that both governors and mayors be elected in a single event.

“Be that as it may, we must prepare ourselves to continue winning by the only way we know how to win: by the electoral, legal, democratic way”.

To conclude, he instructed the First Vice-President of PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, to prepare the future regional candidates and to open the horizon of this 2021, which is the year of the 200th anniversary of the Carabobo battle.
