The National Assembly (AN) will promote a great national dialogue with all sectors of the country, said the president of the parliament, Jorge Rodríguez.
In the “Vladimir a la 1” (Vladimir at 1) TV program, broadcast by Globovisión, he indicated that even the political sectors that did not participate in the parliamentary elections on December 6 will be invited to this dialogue process:
“There will be no exclusions,” he said, while stating that not attending will be the responsibility of each political organization of the opposition.
“We were not elected by the people to fall into isolation options. I believe that there is a very clear mandate for the recovery of parliament, with the participation of all voices that must participate,” he indicated.
In this sense, he pointed out that the main objective of the AN will be the recovery of Parliament, which “was used for five years to attack the laws of the Republic.”
“There are several objectives that all the deputies have: Firstly, the rescue, the recovery of the National Assembly, because one of the objectives that Juan Guaidó had was to end the mandate that the people gave to President Nicolás Maduro. Their objective was to destroy the Legislative Power, to use the AN to attack the laws of the Republic”, emphasized the President of Parliament.
In this regard, he emphasized that, in addition to recovering the Parliament as an institution, the entire building must be rebuilt, due to the theft carried out in all its offices:
“Today, we do not have offices, the spaces have been completely destroyed, it is up to us not only to recover the AN as a foundation but also to administratively rebuild the building to put it at the service of Venezuelans,” he stressed.
