Conviasa consolidates as productive consortium in the provision of aeronautical services

With the implementation of air connectivity plans, commercial projects and innovation in the field of technology, Conviasa progressively consolidates itself as a productive consortium in the provision of aeronautical services.

Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, Vice Minister for Air Transport of the Ministry of People’s Power for Transport and president of Conviasa, during the “Al Aire” program, broadcast this Thursday, November 26 by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), referred to the activation of commercial flights to some national and international destinations and the connectivity that these routes will allow to other cities, through a plan established by the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro and the Presidential Commission that addresses the issue of Covid-19, stating: “We activated commercial flights to Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Panama, yesterday were published flights to Russia, Bolivia and Tehran”.

From the authorized destinations, Conviasa plans to offer connectivity to other routes. “In December we are going to start commercial operations towards Tehran. Passengers will be able to go to Tehran and from there connect with China, Syria, and other destinations ”, assured Velásquez Araguayán.

National flights are also gradually being activated, so the state airline offers connections to Los Roques, Porlamar, Maracaibo, Maiquetía, Valencia and will progressively add more destinations.

In this sense, the Vice Minister for Air Transportation emphasized the joint work with government agencies to promote the development of airports and increase air traffic and connections from Venezuela.

The Maiquetía International Airport is the gateway to Venezuela, we are activating this gate with new strategies that have the participation of the Ministry of People’s Power for Electric Energy and PDVSA, where aviation fuel is the cheapest in the entire region This will encourage, not only that the planes can leave Venezuela, but also promote connections from abroad to the country”.

Added to this strategy are the payment methods that are being implemented to facilitate the provision of airport services, including the design of the Single Payment Ticket Office, for which an airline that wants to use the services in Venezuela or wants to cross the Venezuelan airspace, with an easy method from the comfort of the home or office, can make payments in Petros, Bolívar Soberano or any convertible currency.

Regarding alliances with other airlines, the President of Conviasa mentioned: “We have made alliances with other international airlines that will allow us to take passengers, for example: from Caracas to Tehran, without immediately claim their luggage, make connection with the other airlines and collect their luggage once they reach their final destination, this will guarantee our passengers can travel safely and comfortably in long-distance destinations”.

National Aeronautical Company (EANSA)

EANSA, a subsidiary of Conviasa, is part of a strategy designed by the Ministry of People’s Power for Transportation, which includes development plans for the entire national aeronautics in the short, medium and long term:

“We understand that, in order to strengthen the aerospace power of Venezuela we have to develop the national aeronautical industry and that is why on February 11, 2020, our Workman President Nicolás Maduro, decreed the birth of EANSA”, explained Ramón Velásquez.

On November 20, the National Executive inaugurated the EANSA facilities and presented two aircraft models that the company is going to manufacture with 100% Venezuelan labor, which bear the Simón Bolívar name (SIBO -100 and SIBO-200) .

The president of Conviasa stressed that EANSA in addition to manufacturing manned aircraft, also builds unmanned aircraft and in a third stage it will produce satellites.

This innovative company, which marks a milestone in the development of the Venezuelan aeronautical industry, also serves as a space for the development of aviation professionals.

Velásquez Araguayán exhorted Venezuelan human talent to join EANSA and be part of aerospace growth.

I invite all those professionals who for some reason went to other countries in search of better conditions, deceived, to return to their homeland, here at EANSA, we are willing to use them to develop personally and professionally, to give everything for the development of your our nation ”, he concluded.
