Chancellory summoned Trinidad to a meeting for security and human mobility

The Chancellor of the Republic, Jorge Arreaza, reported that the National Government convened a work meeting with the authorities of Trinidad and Tobago to discuss the issues of security and human mobility, among others.

According to the minister, this is the second meeting that would take place between the two executives in the last four months.

Issues regarding the fight against crime and drug trafficking will also be considered in the meeting, of which no further details are available.

This announcement comes a day after a group of Venezuelan migrants, including 16 children and adolescents, returned to the Caribbean country after spending two days on the high seas, after being deported by Trinidadian authorities last Sunday.
