President Maduro: “Whoever wins the elections, we would want a dialogue with the US”

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, referred to the presidential elections in the US and said that so far he has not had any contact with either the US President, Donald Trump, nor with his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden.

Whoever wins the elections, we would want to have a dialogue. The US will have a valid interlocutor in Venezuela, it will be Nicolás Maduro”, he said.

At a press conference, the head of state said that, regardless of whoever wins the upcoming elections on November 3, “it is up to us to fight and build our homeland with our own effort”.

Regarding the US presidential campaign, Maduro said that “Both Biden and Trump use the name of Venezuela to make deceptive offers, to deceive the Venezuelan community, in a permanent manipulation”.
