US threatens to destroy alleged Iranian missiles in Venezuela

The administration of Donald Trump in the United States threatened on Monday to “destroy” some alleged long-range missiles that Iran will send to Venezuela.

The assertion was made by the Trump delegate to promote destabilization in the Persian country and the Bolivarian nation, Elliott Abrams, according to international media.

“The transfer of long-range missiles from Iran to Venezuela is not acceptable to the United States and will not be tolerated Nor allowed”, said Abrams.

“We will do everything possible to stop the shipments of long-range missiles, and if they somehow reach Venezuela, they will be eliminated there”, he said.

The US official assured that “Iran has announced its intention to participate in the arms sale, and Venezuela is an obvious target”.

“Each delivery of Iranian weapons destabilizes South America and the Caribbean” and is “especially dangerous for neighboring Brazil, Colombia and Guyana”, he said.
