Decorated Ambassador of Vietnam with Francisco de Miranda Award


The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Delcy Rodriguez, honored on Monday to the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the country, Ngo Tien Dung, on behalf of President Nicolas Maduro, in recognition of his commendable work in strengthening bilateral relations.
The Ambassador received the Francisco de Miranda order in the first class, in the company of his relatives and other ambassadors accredited in the country, at the headquarters of the Yellow House, in Caracas.
“With this act we decorate and give recognition to our people of Vietnam, embodied on this ambassador who, during his time as a diplomat in the country, has managed to extol bilateral and multilateral cooperation relations,” said the minister during a broadcast by Venezolana de Television .
Rodriguez stressed that currently there are 54 cooperation agreements between the two countries in different areas framed under the framework of respect and political dialogue.
For his part, Ambassador Ngo Tien Dung, thanked the support and solidarity of the Government and the Venezuelan people.
“I leave with some sadness, but also with the joy of that we stretched bilateral relations. At this point I feel like in my house for the solidarity offered”, he said.
In addition, he made a call to the Venezuelan people to remain united to overcome the attacks caused some sectors of the country.
“I hope that the Venezuelan people with their unity and consciousness will overcome all difficulties to continue the path that the people have chosen to develop a very beautiful country, with a prosperous potential,” he stressed.
