A total of 339 cases of community transmission of Covid-19 and eight imported ones were detected in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of infections to 86,636, of which 79,694 have been recovered, which is equivalent to 92% of the total as reported on Sunday the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, during the presentation of this week’s balance.
Regarding the cases of community transmission, she explained that these are distributed as follows: Táchira state, with 99 cases, followed by the Capital District with 42 cases, then the state of Yaracuy with 41 cases, Lara with 36, Miranda with 24, Carabobo with 21, Aragua with 18, Nueva Esparta with 16, Anzoátegui with 16, Zulia with 8, La Guaira with 7, Portuguesa with 5, Apure with 3, Sucre with 2 and Falcón with 1.
Regarding imported cases, Rodríguez explained that they all come from Colombia. Likewise, she specified that a total of 6,206 patients are active, of which 98% are in the National Public Health System and 2% are in private clinics.
On the other hand, Rodríguez regretted reporting the death of five people from the COVID-19 infection in the last hours, to raise the number of fatalities to 736. Which were: a 66-year-old woman from Nueva Esparta state, a man from 60-year-old from Apure state, an 86-year-old woman from Zulia state, a 75-year-old man from Anzoátegui state, and a 70-year-old woman from Sucre state.
