The directive of the National Assembly (AN) headed by Deputy Jorge Rodríguez to govern the Venezuelan Legislative Branch for the 2024-2025 term was ratified. Accordingly, the Board of Directors of the Venezuelan Parliament was established as follows:
AN President: Jorge Rodríguez Gómez
First Vice President: Pedro Infante Aparicio
Second vice president: América Pérez Dávila
Secretary: María Alejandra Hernández
Undersecretary: José Omar Molina Palencia
It is important to highlight that the director’s board was elected by the majority of the legislators present. And the swearing-in of the elected parliamentarians was carried out by spokespersons from the indigenous, sports and student sectors.
Likewise, the deputies of the Homeland Bloc suggested the ratification of María Alejandra Hernández and José Omar Molina Palencia as secretary and undersecretary of the AN, respectively.
During the proposal of the Homeland Block, deputy Diosdado Cabello ackonwledged the current board for its work in the dialogue process with the opposition.
