COVID: Venezuela reports 994 new infections and accumulates 49,877 cases

The country’s health authorities have detected in the last 24 hours, 933 community and 61 imported coronavirus cases, for a total of 994 new infections in this journey, registering a cumulative of 49,877 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, as reported on her Twitter account the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez.

In this regard, she stressed that, for this Thursday, the entity where the highest number of infections has been confirmed is the Capital District, with 214 infected.

She detailed through her account on the Twitter social network that the virus circulates through the 22 parishes of the capital, among which the parish El Valle stands out with 35 cases, Catia with 24 infected people, Coche with 15 people and Caricuao with 14 infected.

In the same way, he announced the death of four Venezuelans due to respiratory disease, it is a 66-year-old man in Apure, another 71-year-old woman in Miranda, a 29-year-old man in Carabobo and another 38-year-old man in Táchira state.

Vice President Rodríguez affirmed that up to date in Venezuela there are 49,877 cases of coronavirus, of which 8,901 are active, and 40,574 recovered cases, being 81% of the population.

“3,354 are in Hospitals, 5,328 in Integral Diagnostic Centers, 219 in Private Clinics, and the unfortunate figure of 402 deaths”, he wrote.

She affirmed that the Bolivarian Government continues to fight the battle through the house-by-house strategy, with an expanded and personalized investigation.

“As of today in the country, 1,789,371 have been carried out for the early detection of Covid-19, which represents 59,646 tests per million inhabitants”, he said.
