Maduro: We are living an historical fact of resistance

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, affirmed on Wednesday that the nation is experiencing a historical fact of resistance, regarding the latest attacks on the National Electric System, which has left the Venezuelan people without light nor water:
“We live a historical fact of resistance. They will not be able to defeat us, they will not be able to defeat Venezuela, they will not be able to do so by any means”, he said during a telephone call with Diosdado Cabello on his “Con El Mazo Dando” (Hitting with the Hammer) program:
“I’m not going to deceive anyone, the situation is serious, but we are advancing step by step, guaranteeing the fundamentals to the people. And I am personally at the forefront of this battle”, he said.
The Venezuelan leader affirmed that the Venezuelan right wing, in complicity with the US government, has tried to bring collective anger, despair, to bring a situation of a blinded people, in order to provoke a confrontation: “But (the people) has had the conscience, it has managed to manage the anger, the impotence, the need. That’s the resistance”.
Finally, he called on the 51,000 Popular Units of Integral Defense, which bring together 2 million militia men and women, to join the UBCh, the popular collectives, Clap and Communal Councils, so that we can establish the Peace Defender Cadres.
