Stressing that “fascism cannot be allowed to once again fill the streets with violence, with sterile confrontation”, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, ordered the immediate activation of the Peace Quadrilles throughout the national territory in defense of peace:
“I am going to activate – I have already been talking with comrade Diosdado Cabello Rondón – immediately the Peace Quadrilles, more than 4 million leaders of the country who are leading men and women of the Peace Quadrilles, even in the last corner of Venezuela”, he emphasized during the broadcast of the “Con Maduro+” program.
The deployment of the Peace Quadrilles responds to the attempts of the extreme right to impose an agenda of violence, a strategy unveiled by the fugitive from Venezuelan justice Antonio Ledezma, who affirmed that a civil rebellion is brewing in Venezuela with the alleged support of military factions:
“The extreme right-wing sectors that have done so much damage to this country in recent years are back to their old ways. (…) With these statements, Antonio Ledezma and all the coup plotting groups he supports are exposed,” said the Venezuelan president, who pointed out the need to “prepare ourselves institutionally, prepare ourselves as we have always done” to defend sovereignty, peace and the inner union.
In this sense, he instructed the permanent mobilization of the popular forces, a responsibility of the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello.
The deployment will be accompanied by the Bolivarian Militia, a special component of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) that will join with its more than 4 million members- in the Special Anti-Coup Plan to also ensure national stability.

In relation to the new request to the Kingdom of Spain for an arrest and extradition warrant against the coup leader Antonio Ledezma, announced earlier by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, the head of state pointed out that “he acted quickly, on time”.
Likewise, he called on the Venezuelan people to accompany the Venezuelan institutions to demand justice.
