Know the support measures for the benefit of the country’s micro-entrepreneurs

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced new support measures for the country’s micro-entrepreneurs, with the aim of boosting national production in times of pandemic.

Know what they are, and how they will be applied:

– The new microenterprises that will be created within three months after the pandemic is over will not pay any fees, either at the Autonomous Registry and Notaries Service (SAREN), or at the Mercantile Registry.

– The new micro-businesses that will be created between now and six months after the pandemic is over, will not pay Income Tax (ISLR), nor patent for the income generated until December 2021.

– The Economic Vice Presidency has orders to simplify all the procedures to open companies and procedures related to the Mercantile Registry within a period of no more than 30 days. For this purpose, micro-enterprises will be understood as those whose sales do not exceed the equivalent of up to 400 Petros per year.

Along these lines, the national leader urged the creation of policies in order to promote the creation of new companies that revitalize the economy:

“The construction of a sovereign, powerful, diversified economy is in our hands”, said the Head of State.

Likewise, the Dignitary announced the modification of the bank’s Value Added Tax (VAT) from weekly to biweekly, which implies a subsidy on the main tax charged by the State of approximately 12% of the total value that companies must pay.
