On the main avenue of the San Agustín parish of Caracas was held a journey, in the context of the Great Mission of Grandfathers and Grandmothers of the Homeland, called “More Years, More Love”, which begins this May 11 throughout the national territory, where Elder adults will be cared for in accordance with the four vertices of this plan that positively impacts the well-being of this sector of the people.
The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, appeared at the event, sharing with the grandparents who attended the event and with those in charge of providing the services, to listen to each of the opinions of these people who have been participants of the development of the Homeland.
For his part, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stated through a telephone contact that “this is to fill all our grandparents with love and health,” and emphasized the importance of the organization of the circles of grandfathers and grandmothers in the communities, “We set a goal of 20,000 circles in 90 days, we must exceed that number and we must put a house for grandfathers and grandmothers in each parish, there are many things we have to do.”
Meanwhile, the Executive Vice President applauded the holding of the journey and the management of the activities carried out by the San Agustín parish, which is characterized by being consistent in the management of its projects.
The Great Mission of Grandfathers and Grandmothers of the Homeland was launched by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in order to strengthen the Great Mission In a Greater Love and strengthen the protection of the elderly of Venezuela, which would be under the diligence of his person.
Likewise in Juan Griego city, in the Marcano municipality of Nueva Esparta state, elder adults participated in this journey, where were present the Minister of People’s Power for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, and the Minister of People’s Power for Tourism. Alí Padrón, who is also the godfather of that state.
In this sense, Gutiérrez reported that the grandparents have been assisted with medical services, including delivery of medicines.
