607 new Covid-19 cases were reported this Sunday in Venezuela

Venezuela reports 607 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, of which 546 correspond to infections by community transmission and 61 cases are imported, which brings the number of accumulated cases in the country to 39,564.

The executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that there have been six new deaths throughout the national territory, which brings the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 329.

Regarding these six deaths in the last 24 hours, she explained that Miranda state reported three deaths, two deaths in Sucre state and 1 deceased in Trujillo state.

Regarding cases of community transmission, she specified that Miranda presents the highest number of infections with 220 new cases, the municipalities with the highest incidence being Baruta, Tomás Lander, Chacao, Petare and Los Teques, as well as the Guarenas-Guatire axis.

The Capital District continues with 198 cases in 21 of the 22 parishes, with the highest incidence in El Valle with 38 infections, Altagracia 29, Sucre 17, El Recreo 17, Coche 16, Antímano 10, Macarao 8, San Pedro 6, San Juan 5, San Bernardino 4, El Paraíso 4, La Vega 3, Caricuao 3, Catedral 3, San Agustín 3, La Pastora 3, 23 de Enero 2, San José 1, El Junquito 1 and Santa Rosalia 1.

La Guaira is the third state, showing 50 new infections, followed by Bolivar state with 22, Lara 14, Anzoátegui 11, Mérida 10, Carabobo 9, Aragua 7, Monagas 1, Amazonas 1, Sucre 1, Táchira 1 and Delta Amacuro 1.

Rodríguez pointed out that the 61 imported cases come from Colombia.

It was also reported that the recovery rate is at 76%. She indicated that of the 39,564 cases reported in the country, 9,269 are currently active.

Regarding the condition of the patients, 86 are in intensive care units, 485 have moderate symptoms, 4,257 mild symptoms and 4,441 are asymptomatic.
