Venezuela assumes the Vice Presidency of the 173rd OPEC Conference

The Minister for Energy and Petroleum, Manuel Quevedo, took on Thursday the Vice Presidency of the 173rd Conference of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), which takes place in Vienna, Austria.

Through a video posted on his Twitter account, Quevedo said that: “Our country complies with international commitments in oil matters”.

The Minister explained that in the meeting they will analyze the participation quota of Venezuela in the meeting signed by the members of OPEC and the 11 independent external producers, which entered into force on January 1, 2017, and which was extended until the end of March 2018.
