Great Mission AgroVenezuela will have nine working vertices

The Great Mission AgroVenezuela, reactivated this Wednesday, will have nine working vertices to tackle all the necessary edges for the development and strengthening of agricultural and agro-industrial production in the country, indicated the Minister for Agriculture and Lands, Wilmar Castro Soteldo.

The head of the Ministry for Agriculture and Lands highlighted that, among the working vertices is the incorporation of fish and sardines within the Animal Protein Plan, in order to meet the needs of the Venezuelan people.

In this sense, Castro Soteldo indicated that training, research, science and technology are among the nine vertices of the Great Mission; “in order to advance in the substitution of equipment, processes, tools and a number of tools in agro-alimentary production”.

Likewise, there is the territoriality to face the alimentary war; food production; food distribution; among others.

In reference to the distribution of food, the head of the portfolio of the Ministry for Agriculture and Lands highlighted the progress that has been made in this vertex, thanks to the creation of the Local Committees of Supply and Production (CLAP), which reach more than six million families.

It should be noted that Minister Castro Soteldo indicated last week that Venezuela has registered a 25% growth in animal production in this first half of the year, as well as affirming that in this period have been contributed with 690,000 pigs for the Animal Protein Plan.

During the work journey, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, called for “uniting a single effort” to advise producers and thus support all workers in this sector in the country.
