With 68% Nicolás Maduro wins the presidency of Venezuela

With 46.01% of the electoral roll and a 93% of the vote transmission, the president-elect for the 2019-2025 electoral period is the candidate for the Ample Front of the Homeland, Nicolás Maduro Moros, with 5.823.728 votes out of 8.603.936 valid votes, which translates into 68% of the votes.

This was reported by the principal rector of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Tibisay Lucena, who thanked the CNE employees for their work, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), as well as thanking the role of the Venezuelan people for the day and the show of civism that showed today in this journey, with an irreversible tendency.

She explained that the day passed without any incidence to regret, with a tranquility and civility.

She indicated that the opposition candidate, Henri Falcón obtained 1,820,552 votes, while the Evangelical Pastor Javier Bertucci received 925,042 votes, and Reinaldo Quijada with 34,614 votes.

Lucena called to respect the election results: “Do respect the people of Venezuela who decided in peace the future of this country”, she stressed.
