Venezuela successfully tests treatment with plasma from recovered patients

This Thursday the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that 29% of patients who have contracted the Covid 19 virus, that is, an equivalent to 1,327 people, have already recovered, however, the high official of the National Executive, called on them for compliance with safety protocols and simultaneously, to donate plasma, so that they can contribute to the healing of those who continue with the condition.

In this regard, Rodríguez reported that treatments tested in the country using plasma have been very effective, and thus the protocols for this purpose will continue to be applied.

The information was released this Thursday by the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, from the Simón Bolívar Press Room of Miraflores Palace, at the end of the customary meeting of the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of Covid-19.

Regarding imported cases, Rodríguez specified that 59 arrived from Colombia, two from Brazil, one from Peru, one from Ecuador, while two are due to contact with international travelers.

Referring to the number of tests applied in mass screening, she specified that up to this Wednesday have been performed 1,176,146 tests, which is equivalent to 39,205 tests per million inhabitants.
