Fifth and last Iranian oil tanker «Clavel» arrived in Venezuelan territorial waters

The last of the five tankers sent by Iran to supply fuel to Venezuela has already arrived in territorial waters

The “Guaiqueri” patrol ship of the Venezuelan Navy was awaiting to escort it until reaching port. Thus, the ship sent by the Persian nation, called “Clavel” sailed to Caribbean coasts, defying US sanctions and threats of using military force to prevent the arrival to its destination.

The arrival of the ships was progressive, and had the accompaniment of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) in territorial waters, within the framework of US threats.

The Fortune, Forest, Petunia, Faxon and Clavel vessels loaded gasoline and additives in the Iranian port of Bandar Abás in March, and began the journey since May 16. The five ships transport 1.53 million barrels of gasoline and alkylate to Venezuela.
