The vice president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, denounced on Tuesday that there was an attack on the transmission lines of trunk 765 of the National Electric System (SEN), the most important one and which provides electrical service throughout the national territory.
«We must report that the National Electric System has suffered an attack on its transmission lines on trunk 765, just hours after the frustrated attempt by a terrorist incursion against Venezuela. We are already in the process of recovering the service! The United Venezuela shall overcome», said Rodríguez, in her account on the Twitter social network.
Since March and April 2019, Venezuela’s SEN has been the object of planned attacks by the US administration.
In the face of these attacks, the National Government has created the National Electric General Staff, made up of six work commissions to deal with service and deal with the damages caused by terrorist and multiform attacks carried out on its infrastructure, generation sources and transmission lines. In addition, the State has made an investment of at least 500 million euros for the maintenance of the SEN.
