The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, sent a communiqué to the community of Mali who were victims of a terrorist attack happened this past March 23, where 134 people died, in addition to a large number of wounded.
The attackers entered the town on two fronts and began firing indiscriminately, killing the most vulnerable people, including pregnant women, girls and elders. The massacre included the burning of 400 houses, which resulted in the town being reduced to ashes.

«President Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Government and People of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, is saddened by the attack in the town of Ogossagou, in the Mopti region, Republic of Mali, on March 23, 2019, where vilely was produced the death of at least 134 civilians and several wounded.
The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela offers its deepest condolences to the people and authorities of the Government of the Republic of Mali, especially to the relatives and relatives of the victims
of this act of barbarism, and expresses its confidence in the actions announced by President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita to determine the circumstances of this crime.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reiterates once again the bonds of friendship that unite us with the Republic of Mali, as well as the commitment to continue working for the sake of peace and prosperity of our Peoples.
