President Maduro honors Mao Zedong's military and philosophical legacy for the greatness of his people


The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, honored the military and philosophical legacy of the leader of the Chinese Revolution, Mao Zedong, after 126 years of his birth.
“We celebrate 126 years of the birth of the Grand Helmsman of the Chinese Revolution, Mao Zedong. A giant who managed with his military and philosophical genius to collect the history and spirituality of ancient China to lead the victorious roads of greatness to his people”, is the message published by the National President on Twitter, this Thursday.
Mao Zedong was born on December 26, 1893 and died on September 9, 1976 in Beijing, at 83 years old. His remains rest in the mausoleum of Tiannanmen Square, in the capital.
He was the top leader of the Communist Party of China and proclaimed the People’s Republic of China on October 1, 1949.
He led the new Republic until his death, at which time he strengthened both the Communist Party and the permanent development of China and its inhabitants.
