The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, faithful to its Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace Doctrine, strongly rejects the announcement made by the Cooperative Republic of Guyana and the U.S. Government, which report an increase of the military presence in the region in order to protect American Energy companies, which becomes the greatest threat to the stability of Latin America and the Caribbean.

President Irfaan Ali keeps refusing to establish a direct dialogue with Venezuela to resolve the territorial controversy, as ruled by the Geneva Agreement of 1966, and instead pacts with the most aggressive military power in the history of humanity, that through its so-called Southern Command, comes developing military operations in a zone with enormous energy resources, which are being exploited illegally by the ExxonMobil company.

Venezuela alerts the International Community, and very specifically to the countries of the Caribbean, on the dangerous manoeuvres by Guyana, which intend to escalate a conflict moved by the unhinged financial appetite of its leading class, and its heated refusal to comply with the international rules, by keeping on exploring and exploiting oil in an undelimited maritime area with Venezuela.

The Venezuelan people will continue in mobilization, denouncing the warmongering position of Guyana, and will make history on December 03, through a Popular Referendum, dictating the master lines of action in order to keep protecting, under the International Right, its legitimate and historic rights on the Guayana Essequiba.”
