Day 943| Fight against COVID-19: Venezuela registers 18 new infections in the last 24 hours

A total of 18 cases of COVID-19 infections were detected in the last 24 hours, 14 due to community contagion and four imported cases; raising the confirmed accumulated to 545,193, with 462 active cases, while the number of recovered patients stands at 538,912, thanks to the free treatments guaranteed by the Bolivarian Government.

This was announced this Thursday by the Vice President for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, during the customary daily balance offered by the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19, through his account on the Twitter social network, @luchaalmada.

He reported that the community cases are located in the states: Guárico (6), Yaracuy (4), La Guaira (1), Monagas (1), Miranda (1) and Bolívar (1).

Guárico is the state where the largest number of new cases has been detected in the last few hours, with 6 cases in 1 of its 15 municipalities: Juan Germán Roscio.

He reported that there are imported cases; three coming from Panama and one from the Dominican Republic, all entering through La Guaira.

To date, they report 217 patients who are asymptomatic, 125 with mild Acute Respiratory Failure, 75 with Moderate Acute Respiratory Failure and 45 in the Intensive Care Unit.

In week 135 and day 943 of the pandemic in Venezuela, these are its general statistics:

Total infections: 545,193.

Recovered patients: 538,912 (99%).

Current active cases: 462.
