From the Néstor Kirchner Hall of Miraflores Palace, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, led a meeting with the Economic Council and the Appointment of those Responsible for the Thirteen Productive Engines.
The new map of productive engines must be assumed jointly by society, the business sector and the economic leadership of the National Government, as reported on January 15 by the head of State, in the presentation of his annual message to the Nation.
The people in charge of the thirteen productive engines are:
– Hydrocarbons – Delcy Rodríguez and Héctor Obregón
– Agri-food, Fishing and Aquaculture – Juan Carlos Loyo with Menry Fernández
– Non-Oil Exports – Coromoto Godoy and Daniela Cabello
– Mining and Basic Industries – Héctor Silva and Luis Pérez
– Civil and Military Industry – Alex Saab and M/G Henry Rodríguez Martínez
– National and International Tourism – Leticia Gómez and Alí Padrón
– Construction – Raúl Paredes and Juan José Ramírez
– Pharmaceutical – Gabriela Jiménez and Magaly Gutiérrez
– Digital Bolivar (currency) – Calixto Ortega – Cristhian Hernández
– Banking and Stock Market – Anabel Pereira and Jimmy Berríos Ojeda
– Entrepreneurship – Sergio Lotartaro Tovar and Mayorí Badyiala
– Socialist and Solidarity Communal Economy – Ángel Prado and Albanis Montilla
– Telecommunications and New Technologies – Jorge Márquez and M/G Iván Hernández Dala.
The economic council has the mission of accelerating the country’s economic development, with the main objective of strengthening Venezuela’s productive capacity and promoting a diversified and self-sustaining economic model, as well as new business and technological practices.
