The president of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported on Monday that the meeting of the Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance (TIAR), which was held on Tuesday in Colombia, has failed:
“The TIAR meeting has failed, no one messes with Venezuela. It has been a meeting of puppets, of clowns, they have not been able to defeat Venezuela. I repudiate Iván Duque’s speech», said the Head of State from the Military Circle, in Caracas.
“Duque wants to divert attention from the immense political, economic and social crisis. The people of Colombia have been in uprising against Iván Duque for 13 days», he added.
He alerted the people of Colombia about Duque’s intentions to continue repressing the demonstrations against him.
