The Permanent Representative of Venezuela to the Human Rights Council of the United Nations, Jorge Valero, said Thursday that is presaged a new dawn or awakening of Bolivarian, Chavista and Fidelista counsciousness in the peoples of Latin America.
During an interview in a telephone contact with the “Derechos Humanos en Revolución” (Human Rights in Revolution) program, broadcast by Radio Nacional de Venezuela, Valero explained that currently the world “is defeating the US empire and the Lima Group, made up of genocidal and drug trafficking governments. We are in the presence of a new awakening of the consciences of the world”.
He reiterated that, a show of this is “the reality that Mexico, and Argentina are living today. Flags are raised in those countries with Bolivarian, Chavista and Fidelistas consciences”.
Regarding the severe and prolonged economic blockade of the United States against Cuba, he said, “The Yankee government uses blackmail and pressure to bend countries to vote against the Resolution in favor of Cuba”.
“Cuba has recently lost more than 4 billion dollars, and the damage from this blockade over these decades has been for more than 922 billion dollars”, he said.
Jorge Valero, is convinced that this Thursday during the 27th session of the UN, in New York, “the peoples of the world will give a resounding no to the illegal blockade imposed by the United States government on Cuba.”
