President Maduro congratulates parliamentary dialogue initiative to renew Electoral Power

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated on Tuesday the initiative of the dialogue between the Homeland Bloc and sectors of the opposition to renew the members of the Electoral Power and thus convene the parliamentary elections next year, such and as it is established by the Constitution:
“I welcome the initiative of the Homeland Bloc to dialogue with all the opposition sectors to open the path of understanding and renew the Legislative Power in the parliamentary elections of 2020. I make vows for all parties to join this electoral party”, expressed the head of state in his account on the Twitter social network.
Earlier, the Homeland Bloc and the opposition bench of the National Assembly formed the Nominating Committee for the renewal of the Electoral Power.
This commission was made up of six opposition deputies for the “Venezuela Unida” (United Venezuela) fraction: Ángel Medina, Stalin González, Piero Maroun, Franklin Duarte, Luis Aquiles Moreno and Olivia Lozano, while the revolutionary bench is made up of William Gil, Noslew Rodríguez and Jesús Mantilla.
During the ordinary session, the deputy for the Homeland Bloc, Julio Chávez, proposed – in addition – the formation of a liaison commission between the Legislative Power and the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) for the selection of the rectors of the National Electoral Council (CNE), and for the ANC to activate mechanisms to renew the Electoral Power.
