Venezuela participated in the 18th UNIDO General Conference


Venezuela is participating in the eighteenth session of the United Nations General Conference for Industrial Development (UNIDO) held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
High-level representatives of UNIDO-Venezuela, Samir Al Attrach and Jesse Chacón intervened in the forum to continue strengthening cooperation ties for Industrial Development.
In the inaugural event, the Minister of Energy and Industry of the United Arab Emirates, Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazroueiha, pointed out the importance of adopting the idea of sustainable development for the improvement of the well-being of all humanity.
The General Conference, which is the supreme policymaking body of UNIDO, meets every two years to determine the Organization’s guidelines and policies, in addition to approving the budget and work programs to help member countries comply its national development goals.
The eighteenth session of the UNIDO General Conference began on Sunday, November 3 and will last for five days.
