The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, informed on Tuesday through a message in his account on the Twitter social network that the Venezuelan Sovereignty and Peace 2019 Border Military Exercises have already begun, which will be held until September 28, with the objective of safeguarding and preserving security and sovereignty throughout the border line with Colombia.
During the commemoration of the 9th Anniversary of the Bolivarian Military University, held on September 3, the Head of State and Government ordered the head of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB), Remigio Ceballos, to declare an orange alert, in response to the threat of aggression that Colombia would be planning against Venezuela.
