The Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted on Thursday the work undertaken by the constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro, after convening and holding a new day of dialogue with representatives of the opposition, held in Barbados and sponsored by Norway:
“President Nicolás Maduro works tirelessly for the peace and tranquility of Venezuela, guaranteeing national sovereignty. All democratic and constitutional spaces for peaceful coexistence through dialogue and mutual respect should be part of national life”, said Rodriguez through the Twitter social network.
The sectoral vice-president for Communication, Tourism and Culture, Jorge Rodríguez, informed on Wednesday that the journey of dialogue between the delegation of the National Government and representatives of the Venezuelan opposition had concluded, and he described the exchange between the parties as successful.
Last May, the representatives of the National Government and delegates of the Venezuelan opposition began the meetings to advance agreements for the political stability of the country. Since 2013, president Nicolás Maduro has made more than 600 calls for dialogue as part of the policies of peace, reconciliation and respect for sovereignty.
