President Maduro welcomes the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize winner in Miraflores

The Head of State and Government, Nicolás Maduro Moros, welcomed the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Houcine Abassi, at Miraflores Palace on Thursday.
Recently, Abassi said that in order for a dialogue to flourish in Venezuela, it must be independent and far from foreign interventions.
The Tunisian exhorted this Wednesday to the Venezuelans to promote a dialogue without foreign intervention because in his opinion, the foreign participations “have never yielded results” in those processes.
The leader recalled his experience in the process in which he participated to build democracy in his nation and said that for a national dialogue to be achieved it must be led by independent people far from the political parties and the existing currents.
Abassi is Secretary General of the General Union of Tunisian Workers and member of the so-called “Tunisian Quartet” that formed four political organizations to seek a dialogued solution to the political crisis that Tunisia faced in 2013.
The so-called “Tunisian Quartet” was awarded in 2015 with the Nobel Peace Prize for the management they fulfilled in favor of a peaceful solution to the conflict in their country.
