Venezuelan border control system starts this Monday


The Border Control System will enter into force this Monday, June 17, with the purpose of regularizing the passage on the border between Venezuela and Colombia. The operation will be accompanied by the Administrative Service of Identification, Migration and Immigration (SAIME) and the Migration Police.
It is noteworthy that Colombian citizens must obtain the Border Migratory Control Card in order to enter safely and thus the Venezuelan authorities can ensure the protection and safe transit through the Simón Bolívar International Bridge.
What should you know?
The Border Migratory Control Card is encrypted with special codes, so they will be unique and inviolable.
This border document will only apply to Colombian citizens entering the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
Colombian citizens must enter the website: http://www.carnetfronterizo.saime.gov.ve, make their respective registration and download the document provided by the website.
Then, they must go to the SAIME office in Venezuelan territory to be validated with a wet seal.
The process is completely free.
Venezuelan men and women do not need to use the Border Migratory Control Card.
Border Control:
The Migration Police will deploy 117 men in the Táchira state-North Santander Axis, establishing a migration system.
The Administrative Service of Identification, Migration and Aliens (SAIME) will support in the border control.
The border area will be reinforced from the Tamá landmark to Boca de Grita with 17 Bolivarian Army bases, 24 Bolivarian National Guard posts (GNB) and the Rural Commandos.
