Vatican proposes international roundtable to guarantee humanitarian technical assistance to Venezuela


The Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, expressed his desire to help Venezuela by proposing an international roundtable where would be represented the Caritas Catholic organization, the Unicef, the International Red Cross, a sensible representative of the Venezuelan opposition and a representative of the Bolivarian government of Venezuela.
The information was released on Wednesday by Father Numa Molina during a telephone interview conducted on the “Via Alterna” (Alternate Way) program, conducted by journalist Isbemar Jiménez and broadcast by RNV Informative channel, regarding his visit to the Vatican, Italy, where he was able to make known the damages caused to the Venezuelan people by the criminal, economic and financial blockade promoted by the United States government against Venezuela.
During the meeting, the Vatican spokesman was able to known first-hand the titanic effort of the Bolivarian Government to support the free health, education and food against the attacks of the US government and its allies, while showing the intention to support dialogue and guarantee humanitarian technical assistance to our country.
In his statements, Father Numa Molina described his visit to the Vatican as very positive, where he also had the opportunity to greet Pope Francis in order to testify the negative impact of the economic blockade suffered by Venezuelans.
The Venezuelan priest was in Italy attending the invitation of Professor Luciano Vasapollo, from the “La Sapienza” University in Rome, who is the rector’s delegate for relations with the University of Rome, Latin America and the Caribbean, where he was received by the Rector Eugenio Gaudio and participated in some educational and research activities, typical of the house of studies.
