Venezuela rejects governments's statements on Guaidó case

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejected the statements issued by some governments that question the sovereign decision of the National Constituent Assembly regarding the case of Juan Guaidó.
Here is the full content of the communiqué:
“The Government of the Bolivarian Republic rejects as absurd and lacking rigor the statements of some governments that have questioned the legitimate decision adopted yesterday by the sovereign National Constituent Assembly of Venezuela, in relation to the case of Juan Guaidó Márquez, deputy to the Venezuelan parliament.
It is a decision fully in accordance with the law and derived from the process that began on January 29, when the Supreme Court of Justice opened an inquiry to the aforementioned citizen for the alleged commission of several crimes related to violent acts that took place on January 22.
The measures agreed to citizen Guaidó were systematically violated by him, in open and defiant contempt of the Judiciary Power, which is why the highest court of the country, in a sentence dated April 1, ratified the precautionary measures, and agreed to request the continuity of the trial through the waiving to his parliamentary immunity.
In this case, the National Constituent Assembly has responded favorably to the request of the highest Court of the Republic to continue the investigation process against the said citizen.
It is absolutely rejectable that high spokespersons of various governments and international organizations continue to practice shameful interventionism in the internal affairs of Venezuela, in this case in the application of our domestic legislation, openly violating Public International Law, disrespecting the democratic institutions of Venezuela and the Venezuelan people.
The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela strongly demands those who intend to continue practicing this useless, outdated and ineffective interference in the affairs of Venezuela, to cease their hostile attitude, and join the majority of the nations of the world that respect the Venezuelan democratic institutionality and promote a political solution in dialogue among Venezuelans”.
