The President of the National Electoral Council, Tibisay Lucena, celebrated the high participation of voters in the regional elections of October 15, which stood at 61.14%.
«To all voters: Congratulations. We had a great participation» , emphasized the maximum representative of the Electoral Power.
From the headquarters of the CNE and in the company of the mainrectors, Lucena thanked and praised the work carried out by the personnel of the Electoral Power, the functioning of the system for the development of this process, the Republic Plan and the CEOFANB for their work, the Cantv and Corpoelec companies for the technical support provided on election day.
Lucena added that the people of Venezuela, shows a civic and democratic commitment in each election day.
«Once again (the people) has given a great lesson of democracy, and a lesson to the whole world of what we Venezuelans are: worthy representatives of this country in the exercise of sovereignty in peace and democracy, through voting (..) ratifies once more the democratic attitude of the people of Venezuela», he said.
Finally, I authorize the National Electoral Board to instruct the regional boards to initiate the next process that includes the adjudication and proclamation of the winning candidates.
