COMMUNIQUÉ:

“The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros and the Venezuelan people, expresses their most fraternal words of joy to the Government and people of the Republic of Chile, on the occasion of the commemoration of the 207th Anniversary of its Independence.

On this date, we paid tribute to the liberating spirit of great men such as Bernardo O’Higgins, José Miguel Carrera and Manuel Rodríguez, who along with other important men fought imperial oppression and control, guiding the people of the nascent Chile towards the freedom, marking the future of many generations, and it is undeniable to recall the meeting between Bernardo O’Higgins and the Liberator Simón Bolívar in 1823, which fraternity framed the peoples of the Americas.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, a lover of justice and peace for all the brotherly peoples of the continent, is giving the occasion to reiterate to the people of Chile and the people of Chile their congratulations on this memorable date. ”
