The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assured that the Bolivarian Revolution is the antithesis of an authoritarian State.
“We come in the struggle for democracy, for participation, for the rights of the people, we are the antithesis of the authoritarian State. We are the people exercising their rights, we are a guarantee of rights, we are a guarantee of democracy. I am a guarantee of democracy”, he said.
Within the framework of the great assembly with the oil, gas and petrochemical working class of PDVSA, the Head of State recalled that the bourgeois oligarchy plunged the Venezuelan people into poverty; a reality that was changed by the Commander and eternal leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez.
