The nomination process for candidates for the Regional and Municipal Elections on November 21 will close this Saturday, September 4, in accordance with what was approved by the National Electoral Council (CNE).
The decision of the electoral authorities was evaluated in today’s session, in which the actions taken by the electoral body were reviewed to guarantee the participation of all organizations with political purposes in this electoral process.
In the Regional and Municipal Elections 2021, will be elected 23 governors; 335 mayors; 253 legislators, which includes eight indigenous representatives; and 2,471 councilors, including 69 by the indigenous communities and peoples.
