Maduro: The revolution of FEB-4 marked the beginning of an era on the continent


The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assured Monday that the Revolution that emerged on February 4, 1992, headed by Commander Hugo Chávez, marked the beginning of an era, not only in the country, but also in Latin America:
“Commander Hugo Chávez and Commander Ernesto “Che” Guevara are our historical heritages”, he said. On the other hand, he stressed “we said it last year, let’s get prepared to commemorate with the greatest conscience and with the greatest feeling the 20 years of Revolution and victory, as well as the 27 years of permanent rebellion, and here we are on our feet”.
He remarked that “February 4, 1992 marked the beginning of an era, and concatenated the beginning of a new Latin America. So today we are in Rebellion”.
On the other hand he said “we are giving a historic battle for our own existence, as an independent nation. Never before has Venezuela been subjected to a period of threats and aggressions like the ones we are experiencing”.
The information was provided, during his participation in a meeting with intellectuals from various parts of the world, held at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, in Caracas, in an event named with the slogan “We are Venezuela for Democracy and Peace.”
