The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro said on Wednesday that achieving the country’s economic independence means winning the peace of the Republic, and referred to the importance of producing items which are essential for feeding the people.
«Achieving the economic independence is winning perpetual peace of the Republic,» he said from Silos La Flecha, in Portuguesa state, where he provided financing to producers of that entity of the plains.
In that event, held from Silos La Flecha, in Portuguesa state, were paid to producers of this entity more than 16 million bolivars, as part of the prompt payment of the cereal harvest for 2016. In addition, land titles were given to progress in the regularization of agricultural soils.
