Commission of signature verification will ensure democracy and constitutionality

In order to defend peace, the Constitution and the sovereign rights of the people, the commission appointed by President Nicolas Maduro requested on Monday to the National Electoral Council (CNE) to accompany all phases of the process for the activation request of the referendum established in the 1999 Constitution.
The information was released on Monday by the head of the Patriotic Bloc, Hector Rodriguez, who said that the commission will review that the rules of the political scene as dictated by the laws of the Republic are respected.
During his remarks, the parliamentarian said that «historically, the only thing of which (the opposition) has been aware, is trying to take power without respecting the rules of the game, so we are here to defend the Venezuelan democracy».
«Since the Revolution and Commander Hugo Chavez arrived, we can do a review of the Coup d’Etat, the «guarimbas» (street riot barricades) in Altamira Square, the oil strike and the disowning of the electoral results, of which we are still awaiting for Mr. Ramos Allup to present the evidences of the alleged electoral fraud», he said.
