Venezuela and IOM agree to expand actions to protect migrants

The chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, met with the authorities of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Through a message posted on his account on the Twitter social network, the head of foreign relations of Venezuela reported that both parties agreed to expand our cooperation, actions and joint methods to protect migrants in Venezuela and Venezuelans who have migrated.

During the meeting, actions of the international organization were also coordinated with the Vuelta a la Patria (Return to the Homeland) Plan, created by the Bolivarian Government for the return of Venezuelans who have migrated and are willing to return to the country.

This meeting is part of the agenda developed by the Venezuelan Chancellor regarding his participation in the Human Rights Council of the UN. During his visit, the high representative of the Venezuelan government has held various meetings with political groups from different parts of the world.
