The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, said on Sunday that the organized people is the only one capable of containing the onslaught of imperialism against the country which are carried out in various ways, (he said so) within the framework of the 4th Congress of PSUV, where he highlighted its unity and organization amidst the persecution of the country’s enemies:
«The PSUV has much to contribute, we are being persecuted by imperialism, financially, politically, mediatically (…) if there is no organized people, imperialism not only intervenes, but also diffuses the people’s power», he said.
He argued that by strengthening the socialist party «we are not only strengthening the structures to win elections or to govern, we are strengthening the defense and security of the nation».
The head of the Bolivarian peace diplomacy assured that the PSUV is the strongest and most popular political party in the continent. He argued that before the attacks of the imperialist factors to the revolutionary process «the defense of the Bolivarian Revolution is not only the responsibility of the Venezuelan women and men, it is the responsibility of all those human beings who believe in equality and that capitalism must be given a point final to save the planet».
Nicolás Maduro will be ratified in the presidency of PSUV:
The chancellor said that Nicolás Maduro will be ratified as president of the PSUV: «I’m sure this congress will ratify him», he said.
Since the third congress, in 2014, there has been a process of necessary unity, indispensable that we have come to ratify now, said the chancellor while emphasizing that Venezuela is a country that is «under an imperialist blockade» and has received sanctions against the finances that make it impossible to obtain credits abroad and pay purchases of what the people need for food or health.
«The President has asked us for support as a party, as militants, and we have to give him support so that he can make the big decisions, to get out of the difficulties», he said.
