Italian companies show intention to invest in Venezuela

The Minister for Foreign Trade and International Investment, José Vilma Mora, met on Friday with the Ambassador of Italy, Silvio Mignano, and the President of the Venezuelan-Italian Chamber of Commerce (Cavenit), Alfredo D ‘Ambrioso, who expressed the intention of the Italian business sector to invest in the country.

In this meeting, D’Ambrioso specified that the sector most interested is the granite and cement industry, outlined the Ministry for Foreign Trade and International Investment in a bulletin.

Minister Vielma Mora invited D`Ambrioso to the Expo Cojedes Power 2018, which will be held on June 14 to 17, to appreciate the potential of the granites produced in the entity and the companies open to receive foreign investment.

The Venezuelan granite -obtained from rock formations of the Cojedes and Bolívar states- is listed as the best in the world due to its hardness. This stone processed by national companies is bought by at least 23 countries, with a greater presence in the market of Bolivia, Trinidad, Ecuador, Mexico, Italy, Spain, Colombia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
