The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, thanked this Monday to the Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, for acknowledging his electoral victory on May 20.
Maduro stressed his willingness and support to continue working and continue writing a new chapter in the oil history of the world.
“I appreciate the recognition of OPEC Secretary General, Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, to our great victory. May you keep counting on Venezuela to continue writing a new chapter in the oil history of the world”, he said through his Twitter account.
He also thanked the African Parliament for the acknowledgement of democracy in Venezuela.
“I thank the president of the African Parliament, Suelma Beiruk, for acknowledging the victory of democracy in Venezuela and the transparency of the process”.
He also thanked the Government of Turkey for its support for the Bolivarian Revolution.
“With Turkey we are united by bonds of brotherhood and cooperation. I thank your President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his congratulations on the re-election, and I wish him success in the upcoming June elections in his country”, he wrote.
