ANC approves agreement in support of the refinancing of Venezuela’s external debt

The National Constituent Assembly (ANC) approved on Tuesday an agreement in support and accompaniment to the National Government in the process of refinancing Venezuela’s external debt.

The agreement read during the ordinary session of this Tuesday, states that the Plenipotentiary Power “agrees to support the process of refinancing the Venezuelan debt, undertaken by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, under the principles of sovereignty and independence, to the to strengthen the economic and social development of the nation, as well as peace and public tranquility”.

In second place, this instance “rejects the campaigns and actions orchestrated from Washington that seek the financial blockade against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, to intensify the multiform aggression, to affect the economy of the country and create hardship in the population”.

Likewise, the ANC reaffirms that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela “enjoys prestige, financial solvency and willingness to comply with its international credit commitments.”

The president of this instance, Delcy Rodríguez, stressed that “it is important that from the ANC we give support to these important actions that seek to confront the financial blockade that from the treasury secretary of the United States, they intend to impose on our country.”
