Tibisay Lucena, Chairwoman of the National Electoral Council, said on Tuesday that: “We are convinced that the entire world will accept the decisions made in the country, with the presidential elections of May 20, 2018”.
On the other hand, she indicated that the National Electoral Council does not accept and will not allow gross interference that is intended to distort and suspend elections in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
Lucena also announced that on Wednesday, May 16, the Venezuelan Electoral Power will receive representatives of electoral bodies from around the world and members of electoral missions that will accompany the electoral process that will take place next Sunday.
The information was provided during the act of signing the cooperation agreement between the Central Electoral Commission of Russia and the National Electoral Council of Venezuela. Finally, the CNE Chairwoman emphasized that “this agreement is very important for both institutions and for our countries”.
